What does yellow and dry discharge mean?

Okay so, discharge can totally change colors and textures, and yellow and dry can mean a couple of different things.

Most of the time, light yellow discharge is totally normal. It can happen when your regular discharge, which is usually clear or whitish, mixes with a tiny bit of air or maybe even gets on your undies and dries a little. It can also change color depending on your cycle, like when your hormones are shifting.

But if it's a stronger, darker yellow, or if it has a weird smell, or if you're itchy or uncomfortable "down there," then it might be something else. That usually means it's a good idea to tell a grown-up, like your mom or another trusted adult, so they can help you figure out if you need to see a doctor. Most of the time it's not a big deal and easily sorted, but it's always better to check and be sure!
