When will my first period be?

Nobody can know the exact day of your first period because it happens differently for everyone. But there are some signs your body gives that indicate it's coming!

Signs your period is near

First, your breasts start to grow, like little lumps that hurt. Then comes the growth spurt, you know? You grow a lot in a short time. And even closer, usually about 6 months to a year before, you'll start to have some vaginal discharge that's whitish or yellowish in your underwear. It's normal, doesn't have a strong smell, and it's your body's way of cleaning itself and getting ready.

Most girls get their first period between 10 and 13 years old, but it can be a little before or a little after, and that's okay. The important thing is to pay attention to your body's signs.
