I really want my period to start

Okay, so it sounds like you're really excited for your period to start! That's super normal, it's a big step in growing up and a sign your body is doing its thing.

Your period will start when your body is totally ready. There's no secret trick to make it happen faster, because it's all about your hormones and when they're good to go. Most girls get their first period between ages 10 and 13. But it's totally normal if it happens a little earlier or later for you, like anywhere from 8 to 15.

You can keep an eye out for some signs that your body is getting ready. Things like breast buds developing, a growth spurt where you suddenly get taller, and clear or white discharge happening for a few months before your period. These are usually the clues!
