What if you don't have a pad or tampon? What can you use for your period?

If you don't have a pad or tampon, you can actually make a temporary one using toilet paper or paper towels. It's not ideal, but it works in a pinch to stop leaks.

You just fold a bunch of toilet paper or paper towels into a thick rectangle. Like, really thick, to absorb everything. Then you place it in your underwear just like you would a pad. You might need to change it way more often than a regular pad, especially if your flow is heavy, so it's good for getting you through an emergency until you can get proper supplies.

It's also a good idea to always keep some period products in your bag or locker, just in case. You never know when your period might decide to show up, or when a friend might need one too. Being prepared is half the battle, and then you don't have to stress about finding a makeshift solution!
