Is acne on the chest a sign of getting your period

Acne on your chest can totally happen around the time you get your period, just like acne on your face or back. It's because of all those hormones doing their thing and getting ready for your period.

Okay so during your cycle, especially before your period, your hormones can make your skin produce more oil. And then that extra oil can mix with dead skin cells and bacteria, and boom, you get clogged pores and pimples. It's super common and literally nothing to worry about.

To help keep your skin clear, you can shower after sweating, like after sports, and use gentle body wash. You could also try wearing loose, breathable clothes because tight stuff can sometimes make it worse. And just like with face acne, try not to pick at it because that can make it all red and angry.
