A few days ago I had yellow period. Is this normal?

Okay so sometimes what you think is your period can actually be discharge, and discharge can totally be yellowish. Your period blood itself is usually red, brown, or even black sometimes.

Yellowish discharge is often super normal. Like, your vagina is actually self-cleaning and discharge helps keep it healthy and balanced. It can change color depending on where you are in your cycle, what you've been eating, or even if you're a little dehydrated.

But if the yellow discharge has a really strong smell, or if you're itchy or uncomfortable down there, that's when it's good to tell a grown-up so they can help you figure out if you need to see a doctor.
