Where does blood leak from

Okay so period blood literally leaks from your vagina. It's totally normal and actually a super important part of how your body works.

So your uterus is this amazing organ inside you where a baby would grow, and every month it builds up a soft lining full of blood and nutrients, just in case you get pregnant. If you don't get pregnant, your body doesn't need that lining anymore, so it sheds it. That's what a period is! The blood and tissue leave your body through your cervix, which is at the bottom of your uterus, and then out through your vagina. It's just your body cleaning house and getting ready for the next cycle.
