What is that stuff called when things come out of your period?

Okay so that "stuff" coming out when you have your period is mostly blood! Your period is literally your body cleaning out your uterus every month. It's not just pure blood though; it's also a mix of tissue and mucus from your uterus lining, and sometimes tiny clots.

It can look different on different days of your period. Like, at the beginning, it might be a bit brownish or pinkish, then turn brighter red, and then get darker again towards the end. Sometimes it's thin and watery, and other times it's thicker. All that is super normal.
