My discharge is changing and it's become a lot thicker and I feel like I'm getting more of it does that mean my period might be coming soon.

Okay so yeah, if your discharge is getting thicker and you're noticing more of it, that's totally a sign your first period could be on its way pretty soon.

Discharge is that liquid stuff that comes out of your vagina, and everyone with a vagina has it. It's really normal and helps keep things clean and healthy in there. As you get closer to your period, your body makes more of certain hormones, and those can change how your discharge looks and feels.

It can go from being clear and watery to thicker, whiter, or even a bit yellowish. Sometimes it's stretchy, kinda like egg whites. This usually means your body is getting ready for ovulation, and your period would follow sometime after that. It's one of the main signs that your period is probably not too far off.

If the discharge is itchy, has a super strong smell, or is like, a weird color (think green or grey), that's when you should tell a grown-up just to make sure everything's okay. But just thicker and more of it? Super normal.
