I am 10 and I was wondering how long til you think I will get my period

Okay, so it's super cool that you're thinking about this now! It's impossible to know exactly when your period will start, because everyone's body is different. But there are some general things that happen to most people before their first period.

Usually, your period comes a couple of years after your breasts start to develop. And then about six months to a year before your period arrives, you might notice some white or yellowish discharge in your underwear. Like, your body is literally just getting ready for your period. Most girls get their first period between ages 10 and 13, but later or earlier is totally normal too.

You'll also probably go through a growth spurt, so you might notice your clothes getting a bit short and you're growing super fast. That's another sign that your body is changing and getting ready for your period. It's all part of growing up!
