Hi soso so my periods been ok these 4 days I have really been having blood clots today and a lil yesterday my stomach just been hurting nothing else can you tell me why I'm having a lot of blood clots today??

Okay so blood clots during your period are totally normal, especially on your heavier flow days. When your period is coming out of your uterus, it has to pass through your cervix, and sometimes your body releases anticoagulants to keep the blood flowing smoothly, like so it doesn't clot.

But on days when you have a heavier flow, your body might not be able to produce enough of those anticoagulants to keep up, and that's when you see those little clots. It's just your body doing its thing! They usually look kind of like jelly or bits of tissue and can be really small or a bit bigger.

Since you're also having some stomach pain, that could just be normal period cramps, which often happen on heavier days. If the pain gets really bad, like you can't do your normal stuff, or if the clots are super huge and you're soaking through pads really, really fast, then it's a good idea to tell a grown-up just to be sure everything is okay.
