Where to put dirty underwear?

Look, there isn't a super strict rule for underwear dirty from menstruation, what matters is what's easiest and most practical for you. But like, no need to get neurotic about it, okay? It's just blood, we know! 😂

When removing it

When you go to change, if possible, remove the excess blood in cold water in the sink. Cold water helps prevent the fabric from staining permanently. Then, you can put the underwear:

• In a plastic bag, like the ones from the supermarket, to avoid dirtying the rest of your dirty clothes or the trash can. Take it home and wash it.
• In a corner of the laundry basket, but knowing that you'll have to wash it soon to avoid heavy staining. Or, if you're going to wash it by hand, let it soak!

For washing

The ideal is to wash it as soon as possible, okay? It doesn't have to be the same second, but like, don't let it dry with the blood. You can:

• Wash it by hand with neutral soap and cold water. Gently rub the stained area.
• Throw it in the washing machine with the rest of the clothes, but if you can, rinse it with water first to remove the excess. If the underwear is made of a different fabric, like absorbent underwear, it's good to follow the label instructions to avoid damaging it.
