Okay so there are totally some signs that can tell you your period is coming or even starting. It's like your body gives you little hints.

Before your period actually starts, you might notice some things that are like a warning. For most people, periods show up about two years after your breasts start to develop. You might also have a growth spurt, which is like when you suddenly shoot up in height. Another big one is vaginal discharge; it's usually clear or white and shows up a few months before your first period. Your body is just getting ready for everything!

Signs your period is starting

The actual day your period starts, you might feel some cramps in your lower belly or back. It's like a dull ache or maybe even a little bit sharp. You could also feel kind of tired or moody, like you just want to chill in bed. And then, the biggest sign is seeing a little bit of blood when you wipe after you pee, or maybe a tiny spot in your underwear. It usually starts out light, maybe even brown, before it gets redder.
