What makes a good period kit?

Okay so a good period kit is basically a tiny emergency stash of everything you might need when your period decides to show up, even when you're not expecting it. It's super helpful to have one ready.

Here's what I put in mine:

• Pads or tampons: Duh! Bring a few different sizes if you're not sure, or if your flow changes. If you use period underwear, maybe a spare pair or a small wet bag for a used one.
• Pain reliever: Like ibuprofen. Always check with a grown-up first before taking any medicine!
• A clean pair of underwear: Seriously a lifesaver if you have a leak.
• Wipes or a small hand sanitizer: For when you need to feel fresh, or if you're using a public bathroom that's not super clean.
• A small plastic baggie: For wrapping up used products if there's no trash can nearby, or for leaky underwear.
• A chocolate bar or some snacks: Because sometimes you just need a treat, and snacks make everything better, especially when you're feeling crampy or a little down.

I keep my kit in a small, cute pouch in my backpack so it's always with me, just in case. It makes me feel way more prepared and less stressed about my period showing up unexpectedly.
