Your cycle ends the day before your next period starts, and then a new cycle begins with the first day of your period. It's a whole thing that just keeps looping!

Okay, so the first day of your period, when you actually start bleeding, is day one of your cycle. Your cycle includes your period, then the time when your body is getting ready to maybe release an egg, and then the time right before your next period where hormones change again.

Then, the very last day of that whole process, right before you start bleeding again, that's when one cycle ends and the new one begins. For most people, this whole cycle usually lasts like 21 to 35 days, but especially when you're just starting out, it can be super random. Mine was all over the place at first, literally.
