Okay, so there are totally some signs your body gives you when your first period is getting closer, which is kinda cool because it means you won't be totally surprised.

One of the biggest clues is breast development. Like, first your breast buds start to form, and then your boobs start to grow. Most of us get our first period about two or three years after that starts, so if your bra size is changing, that's a big sign. Another thing you might notice is a growth spurt. You'll literally grow super fast, and you might feel a bit clumsy because your body is changing so quick. Also, lots of people start noticing some vaginal discharge, which is usually clear or white goo in your undies. It's totally normal and healthy, and it usually means your period is just a few months away.

Every body is different, but most people get their first period between ages 10 and 13. Don't stress too much about the exact timing though, because your body knows what it's doing! Just remember these signs are your body's way of getting ready.
