You know you got your period when you see blood in your underwear, on toilet paper after you pee, or maybe a stain on your bedsheets.

It can look like a tiny spot or more, and it's usually brownish or reddish. The very first time, it might even just be some light spotting, so don't expect a super heavy flow right away. Everyone's first period is different, so it's super normal if yours is light and kinda stops and starts for a day or two.

Most periods last from 2 to 7 days, and you'll usually need to use a pad or period underwear to catch the blood. You can log when it starts and ends in the Soso app to keep track of your cycles.
