Hi, yesterday I had brownish discharge and I don have my period yet. I ve had brown discharge before it was like two months ago. I ve had discharge for over a year and a half, I m very moody a lot and tired. My breasts are very developed but not fully and I m 12. My mom got her period when she was twelve. The quiz keeps telling me it ll come in a few months but I would like to know what you would say based on this

Okay so it sounds like your body is definitely getting ready, and having brownish discharge, being moody, and feeling tired are all totally normal signs that your first period could be on its way pretty soon!

Seriously, lots of girls get brownish discharge as one of the very last signs before their period actually starts, or even a few months before. It's just old blood mixing with your regular discharge, and it's nothing to worry about. You also mentioned your breasts are developing and you've had discharge for a while, and both of those things are big clues that your body is moving through puberty and getting closer to that first period. It's super common for your period to start around a year or two after you start getting discharge, and usually after your breasts have started to grow but aren't totally done yet.

Being moody and tired can also be part of what's called PMS, or premenstrual syndrome. Your hormones are doing a lot of work right now, and sometimes that makes you feel super emotional or just totally wiped out. Doctors say it's normal for periods to start around age 12, so your body is right on track! It's impossible to say exactly when it will happen, but it sounds like you're definitely in the "getting ready" zone.
