Discharge gel

Okay so discharge can totally look like gel sometimes, and it's usually super normal. It's just your body doing its thing to keep everything clean and healthy down there.

Your vagina literally cleans itself, and discharge is part of that process. It can change a lot during your cycle, so some days it might be clear and watery, and other days it can be thicker and look kind of like a gel or even a bit sticky. This often happens around the middle of your cycle when your body is getting ready to ovulate, which is when an egg is released. It's a sign your body is working like it should.

When to tell a grown-up

Most of the time, gel-like discharge is no big deal. But if it starts to itch, smell weird, or if you feel any pain or discomfort, then it's a good idea to tell a trusted grown-up. They can help you figure out if it's something that needs to be checked out, but usually, it's just your body being a body.
