I saw some brown staining in my panties on June 17

Brown staining or discharge in your underwear can totally be normal, especially as your body is growing up and getting ready for its first period.

Okay so, sometimes it’s just old blood that’s taken a little longer to come out, so it turns brown when it hits the air. It can also be spotting, which is just a little bit of blood that happens outside of your regular period. Lots of people get this, and it’s usually nothing to worry about. It might even be a sign that your first period is getting closer!

If you're noticing a lot of it, or if it smells weird or makes you itchy, then it's a good idea to chat with a trusted grown-up or even a doctor just to make sure everything's chill. But usually, a little brown staining is just your body doing its thing.
