I feel like I’m behind for being short but ahead for being more developed than my class

There's no such thing as "behind" or "ahead" in puberty because everyone develops totally differently and on their own timeline. Your body has its own plan, and that's okay, even if it feels like your friends are doing something different.

Like, some people get super tall really fast and then their period shows up. Others grow breasts first and then hit a growth spurt way later, and that's also totally normal. Some people even get their period and then grow taller. It's really just a mix-and-match situation for your body, and it's all good.

It's super common to feel like you're going through stuff at a weird time, but your body is just doing its thing! Just remember that all of it is normal, because puberty isn't a race or a competition.
