Can a period last only one day or would that be spotting

Okay so yeah, a period can totally be super short, even just one day for some people, and it's still a period. Spotting is when you have a tiny bit of blood, like just a few drops, that might not even need a pad or anything, and it's usually not enough to be a full flow.
